SOLUTION: In a lighting control element of the invention, a liquid crystal composite obtained by adding to a low molecular liquid crystal at least one kind of an optic active liquid crystal compound for generating spiral torsional force in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation to mutual action between low molecular liquid crystal molecules, is poured between two transparent sheets which are subjected to parallel alignment processing, thereby a spiral structure of the low molecular liquid crystal having a vertical spiral shaft, is formed on the surfaces of the transparent sheet. The lighting control element of the invention can change a wavelength area of a selection reflection, from visible light to infrared light to change of environment temperature, based on change of the spiral torsional force of the liquid crystal compound corresponding to change of the environment temperature.EFFECT: The invention can significantly control a wavelength area of the selection reflection to change of the environment temperature, even with a simple structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
