PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent cracks, which are apt to be formed in a groove bottom of a shoulder longitudinal groove, to improve durability.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 includes a band layer 9. A tread part 2 includes the shoulder longitudinal groove 16 extending in the circumferential direction of the tire on the side closest to a tread end 2e. The band layer 9 includes a center band part 13 arranged astride a tire equator C, and a shoulder band part 14 arranged in the axial direction of the tire on an outer side of the center band part 13. A band constraining coefficient R of the shoulder band part 14 expressed by following equation (1) is smaller than that of the center band part 13, wherein equation (1): R=E/S (E represents the ends meaning the number of band cords 12 per 5 cm width included in a band ply 9A, and S represents the intermediate elongation (%) under the load of 50N of the band cords 12). Further, the distance X between an inner end 14i of the shoulder band part 14 in the axial direction of the tire and a groove center line 16c of the shoulder longitudinal groove 16 is 20% or less of a band half width BW. |
