PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that enables a reheating operation, a bath heat recovery operation, a boiling-up operation relative to an upper portion and a lower portion of a tank etc. and a piping freezing preventive operation, and that can simplify a configuration for setting a passage for enabling these operations.SOLUTION: A water heater 100 includes a selector valve 22 for setting a communication passage for determining whether hot water flowing out from a heat pump unit 20 is made to flow in to an upper portion or a lower portion within a tank 10. The water heater 100 further includes second communication piping 74b for connecting a passage section 74a located on the way of hot water flowing out from the heat pump unit 20 to the selector valve 22 with an intermediate portion or a lower portion of the tank 10 via an inflow portion of a reheating heat exchanger 73. |
