PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation sensor which, in a configuration having one detection unit for detecting rotation, can determine noise from a rotation signal detected by the detection unit.SOLUTION: A rotation sensor 10 is provided with a peak value/bottom value detection unit 50 for detecting a peak value and a bottom value of amplitude of a rotation signal input from a detection unit 20. The rotation sensor 10 is also provided with a noise determination unit 60 for setting, on the basis of the peak value and the bottom value of the amplitude of the rotation signal input from the peak value/bottom value detection unit 50, a peak value threshold smaller than the peak value and a bottom value threshold smaller than the peak value and larger than the bottom value, respectively. When the amplitude of the rotation signal does not exceed either one or both of the peak value threshold and the bottom value threshold, the noise determination unit 60 determines that the rotation signal is noise and stops output of the rotation signal. |
