The condenser has a pipe-/ rib block, a cooling collecting tank, and a collector for receiving a dryer and/or filter. The collector is closed at axial ends by a closure device. The closure device has a holding unit (30) for one of the collecting tanks. The closure device is externally arranged at one of the axial ends of the collector. A holding device comprises a sealing cover region (17) for closing an axial end of the collector, where the cover region lies at outer side of the collector. The closure device or the holding device is designed as cast components.
