An irradiation unit (19a) provided with an electromagnetic radiation source for irradiating the planar structure of tin plate whose surface tension is less than or equal to the surface tension of printing ink, prior to the supply of ink to the printing units, is arranged at the upstream end of the printing unit. An independent claim is included for method of printing on sheet-like structure.
