The system has an absorbing part (10) partially covering an emission point (12) for a medium in a sealing manner. The medium condenses at the absorbing part and is derived at the absorbing part. The absorbing part is provided as a protective part (30) between the absorbing part and the emission point. The absorbing part interrupts the direct impinging of the medium between the emission point and the absorbing part in a form of a spraying and sputtering protection. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a safety system.
