Methods and systems for configuring a network are disclosed. An example method can comprise receiving a request from a first device to connect to a first network. An example method can also comprise determining a first logical address. The first logical address can comprise one or more bits configured to identify the first device on the first network and specify configuration information for the first device. An example method can further comprise providing the first logical address to the first device.

receiving a request from a first device to connect to a first network; determining a first network address, wherein the first network address comprises one or more bits configured to identify the first device on the first network and specify configuration information for provisioning, by the first device, one or more other devices on a second network, wherein the configuration information is used by the first device for assigning a second network address for one of the one or more other devices of the second network; and providing the first network address to the first device.
