Compact and energy-efficient head-up display |
摘要 |
The invention relates to a head-up display comprising a group of optical sub-systems (261, 262, 263) formed in a single plane and having dimensions that diminish moving away from the main optical axis of the display. The display also comprises sub-screens (241, 242, 243), the positions and dimensions of which are defined according to: the length of the optical path (D), the dimensions of the optical sub-systems, and a maximum authorized length of movement in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis and located at a distance equal to the length of the optical path, such that the information projected by the group of sub-screens can be seen along the entire authorized length of movement. |

1. A head-up display comprising an assembly of optical sub-systems formed in a same plane and having dimensions decreasing along with a distance from a main optical axis of the display, further comprising an assembly of sub-screens having positions and dimensions defined according to a length of an optical path, to dimensions of the optical sub-systems, and to a maximum motion length in a plane perpendicular to the main optical axis and located at a distance equal to the length of the optical path, so that information projected by the assembly of sub-screens can be seen over an entire motion amplitude, wherein the positions and the dimensions of the sub-screens are further defined according to a mean distance between a person's two eyes, and wherein, along a first axis, said maximum motion length is nonzero and the person's vision is monocular, the sub-screens being placed symmetrically on either side of the main optical axis of the display, a center of a sub-screen of rank i on either side of the main optical axis of the display being placed with respect to a center of the sub-screen of rank i−1 at a distance equal to (Li+Li−1)/2+f/2D(Li+Li−1), each of the sub-screen having a length along said first axis equal to f/D(Li+B), within the limit of an area, centered on an optical axis of the associated sub-system, having a dimension equal to:
f/D(ΣLi)the above sum being the sum of the dimensions of the optical sub-systems used in a sub-projector, f and Li respectively being a focal distance and a width of the optical sub-system of rank i, D being the length of the optical path. |
