COOLED FLAMEHOLDER SWIRL CUP

A combustor swirl cup (36, 38) includes coaxial inner and outer swirlers (42, 44) separated by a tubular centerbody (46). The centerbody (46) includes a bypass inlet (66) surrounding the inner swirler (42) and diverges aft along a perforate inner nozzle (52) to terminate at an annular flameholder (54). An impingement ring (64) is spaced forward from the flameholder (54) in flow communication with the bypass inlet (66) for receiving cooling air therefrom to impingement cool the flameholder (54).
