1. A wireless device for optimizing wireless access, the wireless device comprising:
a processor configured to collect performance data related to performance of a plurality of wireless networks; a transceiver configured to transmit the performance data to a server; the transceiver further configured receive, from the server, optimized settings for the wireless device; and the processor further configured to implement the optimized settings for the wireless device including selection of a network based on the optimized settings for the wireless device, wherein the processor is further configured to compare a type of usage for the wireless device to the optimized settings and to select a network based on the comparison of the type of usage for the wireless device and the optimized settings.
