The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an absorbent article that has stable absorbability when worn and is more comfortable to use by preventing liquid leakage and stuffiness, the absorbent article enabling the natural absorbability of an absorption core to be fully exhibited and the leakage of liquid such as excreted liquid and stuffiness when worn to be stably suppressed. More specifically, an absorber (13) is configured to be provided with an absorption core (15) which extends in the length direction of the absorber (13) and absorbs and holds liquid, and a covering sheet (16) which has liquid permeability and is wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the absorption core (15) about the axis in the length direction of the absorption core (15), the covering sheet (16) has extension parts (18) each of which extends from an end in the width direction of the absorption core (15) and the inner peripheral surface side of each of which is not in contact with a liquid permeable sheet (11)-side surface and a liquid impermeable sheet (12)-side surface of the absorption core (15), and an absorbent material (19) having liquid absorbability is bonded to the inner peripheral surface side of each of the extension parts (18) by a bonding agent. |
