[Class 83 (ii)] In the manufacture of hollow frames for motor-cycles, halfframe stampings 1, 2 are assembled edge to edge with inserted or superimposed reinforcements in place and simultaneously united by flash welding. Insertions 4 are flash -welded to the stampings and the half frames secured together. A. tube T is then inserted and secured at both ends by discs 5. |
