PURPOSE:To provide a printer capable of obtaining a printing result extremely favorable appearance and easy to read by preventing the contact of a character and a rule by providing a proper interval between a rule start position and a rule end position when a ruled text is formed. CONSTITUTION:When commands setting a rule start position and a rule end position are issued from the rule start key 4A and rule end key 4B of a keyboard 6, framing space codes are inserted at the positions concerned on a text memory. When a printing command is issued from a printing key 3, a proper interval is provided between the positions of the framing space codes. By this constitution, a ruled text can be printed without bringing a character and a rule to a contact state. |
