Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a method and device for adding contacts, the method for adding contacts being used in the field of wireless communication; comprising: a first terminal, when receiving an operating command of a first user to add a contact, acquires device identification information of a second terminal; the first terminal sends to a network device a request to add a second user as a contact of the first user; the network device, when receiving the request sent by the first terminal, and before the end of a preset time, determines whether the second terminal has sent a request to add the first user as a contact of the second user; if so, then the contact adding is successful; and if not, the network device deletes the request sent by the first terminal to add the second user as a contact of the first user. A situation whereby a user inputs an error when manually adding a contact is prevented, simplifying the operating procedure for adding contacts and improving the user experience, whilst also simplifying the request flow for a network device to process the adding of contacts. |
