A BOOTROM upgrading method and device. The method comprises: if a boot read-only memory (BOOTROM) for operation startup is in a first partition, selecting a second partition to perform BOOTROM upgrading; and after the BOOTROM upgrade is completed in the second partition, modifying, by a terminal, a CPU startup address from being mapped to the first partition to being mapped to the second partition, and starting, according to the mapping of the CPU startup address, the upgraded BOOTROM in the second partition, the second partition being another partition other than the first partition where the current BOOTROM for operation startup is located. |
