Provided are a conference call method and apparatus. The method comprises: an SIP server receiving a conference transmission message sent by a calling terminal, wherein the conference transmission message includes conference information and identification information about an external terminal which is to participate in the conference; the SIP server sending the conference information and the identification information about the external terminal to a multi-point control unit (MCU); after the MCU establishes a conference according to the conference information and the identification information, the SIP server calling, through the MCU, the calling terminal and the external terminal identified by the identification information to participate in the conference, so as to at least solve the problem in the relevant art that a conference cannot be flexibly established. |
