Provided in the present invention are an indication method for resource allocation in an unlicensed frequency band for an LTE system, an indication device for resource allocation in the unlicensed frequency band for the LTE system, a base station, and a terminal. The indication method for use in the base station comprises: determining a working bandwidth of the LTE system in the unlicensed frequency band; adjusting a resource block group size and/or a resource block group size candidate value corresponding to the working bandwidth; determining a target resource block group size on the basis of the adjusted resource block group size and/or the adjusted resource block group size candidate value; and notifying the terminal of the target resource block group size and allocation information of resource block groups via a target signaling, thus allocating one or more resource block groups for the terminal. The technical solution of the present invention effectively reduces the number of bits on the unlicensed frequency band occupied by a resource allocation domain in a DCI signaling, thus reducing signaling overhead.
