The invention relates to a method for producing a decorative element, wherein a pattern is applied to a backing, in particular a nonwoven, the backing is then laid on a support element and the support element and the backing, together with the pattern, are subsequently provided with a sealing coat, such that the backing is situated between the support element and the sealing coat. In said method, the backing consists of a material that dissolves or becomes transparent when it comes into contact with the material of the sealing coat. |
