The invention relates to an extendable vehicle roll-over protection structure formed by a closed V-shaped structure (1), in which both the vertical side segments (4) and the horizontal upper segment (7) can be extended and retracted telescopically, with both the width and the height of the structure being increased as it moves from the retracted position to the extended position. The lower end of the vertical side tubular elements (4) of the structure are suitably secured to the chassis of the associated vehicle (2). The structure (1) is extended prior to a pre-determined inclination of the vehicle via the pressing of an inclination sensor and by means of an activation algorithm or command. |
