Provided are mainly a paging method and system, so as to solve the problem in the prior art of a call connection failure caused by the facts that, due to user mobility, a returned paging response is a CELL ID under a destination MSC, but an MME and an IWS perform a selection to a destination MSC based on a new CELL ID. By means of the present invention, an MME and an IWS, upon receiving a paging request, save the MSC which sends a message, and return a paging response along an original path. During a call connection process, a user is handed over to a destination BSC under a destination MSC through an inter-office handover procedure between MSCs, and the voice call termination success rate may thus be improved. |
