Provided is a refrigerator such that even if a section having protrusions and recesses is provided on a wall surface of the body of the refrigerator, it is possible to position a vacuum insulation material without reducing reliability, to improve the heat insulation properties and energy-saving performance, and to maintain the internal volume of the refrigerator. This refrigerator is equipped with: a vacuum insulation material (55) disposed between an inner case (3) and an outer case (2) which constitute a body (1); and a foam insulation material (44) filled between the inner case and the outer case. The wall surface of the body is provided with a section (18) having protrusions and recesses. The body also has a spacer member (21) equipped with a surface matching the shape of the section (18) having protrusions and recesses. The reverse surface of the spacer member from the surface matching the shape of the section (18) having protrusions and recesses has a substantially planar shape. The vacuum insulation material is disposed on the surface having the substantially planar shape.
