The invention contributes to improvement to computational efficiency in MU-MIMO precoding matrix determination. A base station generate a subset of candidate precoding matrices for each user terminal from an original set of candidate precoding matrices common to all terminals and configured to be used for transmitting data through multiple antennas to terminals, based on a ratio between desired signal and leakage interference levels produced by the candidate precoding matrix, and determines precoding matrices for the plurality of terminals, based on the generated subset, based on system throughput in transmission of data to the terminals.
