Provided in embodiments of the present invention are an information processing method and device. The method comprises the following steps: when receiving an access instruction from a user for accessing private information in a mobile terminal, acquiring biological characteristic information of the user; detecting to determine whether the biological characteristic information of the user matches preset biological characteristic information; if not, then acquiring a processing instruction for the private information in the mobile terminal, the processing instruction comprising at least one of a false display instruction, a backup instruction and a destroy instruction; and processing the private information in the mobile terminal according to the processing instruction correspondingly. The embodiments of the present invention can effectively protect information in the mobile terminal, and improve security of the mobile terminal. |
