An electronic device and a control method therefor are disclosed. The electronic device and the control method therefor, according to the present invention, comprises: a housing for providing a grip portion on which a plurality of fingers of one hand of a user make contact; a microphone provided in the housing; a memory provided inside the housing; a sensor unit located at at least one side of the housing; and a control unit for operating in at least one mode from among a first mode in which a sound acquired through the microphone and content acquired through the sensor unit are stored in the memory, a second mode in which the sound stored in the memory is played, and a third mode in which at least a portion of the stored sound is edited on the basis of a user operation, which is acquired through the sensor unit, and in response to an operation for the content. According to the present invention, the electronic device can operate in different modes on the basis of the user operation for the electronic device. |
