receiving, by a server, an electronic request associated with a client device, the client device requesting resumption of a gaming software application; querying, by the server, an electronic database for an identifier specified by the electronic request, the electronic database having electronic associations between bookmarks and identifiers including the identifier specified by the electronic request; retrieving, by the server, a bookmark of the bookmarks from the electronic database, the bookmark identifying a logical location from which the gaming software application was previously paused; and resuming, by the server, the gaming software application from the logical location identified by the bookmark. |
