The present invention relates to a high power energy storage device additive and a lithium ion capacitor comprising the same and, more particularly, to: a method for manufacturing a new lithium ion capacitor additive which, by being added to a carbon-based material applied as a positive electrode active material of a lithium ion capacitor, and electrochemically doping lithium ion onto a negative electrode, enables improved capacity and energy density; a lithium ion capacitor additive manufactured thereby; and a lithium ion capacitor comprising the same. A lithium ion capacitor additive according to the present invention can release 3 mols or more of lithium ions at a low voltage of 4.4 v or less, and a lithium ion capacitor comprising the lithium ion capacitor additive of the present invention can electrochemically dope lithium onto a negative electrode, without the need for a pre-doping process using lithium metal as in a conventional method. |
