Disclosed are a method and device for searching for a mobile terminal, the method comprising: receiving a target terminal acquisition request sent by a mobile terminal; according to position information of the mobile terminal, determining a positioning area in which the mobile terminal is located; determining a target terminal located in a positioning area within a preset range of the positioning area in which the mobile terminal is located; sending information of the determined target terminal to the mobile terminal. The present invention reduces the storage space required for a server to save mobile terminal position information, and rapidly searches for a target terminal according to the positioning areas, thereby increasing the searching efficiency. |
