Proposed are a service detection method for an LTE system when working on an unauthorized frequency band, a service detection system for an LTE system when working on an unauthorized frequency band, a terminal and a base station. The service detection method for an LTE system when working on an unauthorized frequency band comprises: receiving indication information from a base station that provides a service for the terminal; detecting whether there is a target detection signal on at least one target symbol of a current sub-frame on the unauthorized frequency band according to the indication information, so as to confirm whether the base station has occupied an idle channel; and when the target detection signal is detected, confirming that the base station has occupied the idle channel, so that the base station executes service scheduling on the unauthorized frequency band. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, energy consumption of a terminal can be effectively reduced, and a location where a base station successfully occupies a channel can be accurately learned while saving energy, so that the missing of a scheduling opportunity of the terminal is effectively avoided.
