The present invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a body-side lock housing (1) with a locking mechanism (2, 3) situated therein and a bonnet- and/or door-side locking bolt (2), or vice versa. In addition, an opening and/or closing device (7, 8) are/is provided. According to the invention, for an opening or closing operation of a door or bonnet (S), the opening and/or closing device (7, 8) act/acts indirectly or directly on the unactuated locking mechanism (2, 3). As a result, at first a relative movement of the unactuated locking mechanism (2, 3) in relation to a stationary base element (1; 6) is brought about. Subsequent to this relative movement, the locking mechanism (2, 3) and/or the locking bolt (4) are/is actuated. |
