Provided is an impact tool which can be operated with increased easiness and can provide increased work efficiency. An impact tool has: a motor (31) accommodated within a housing (14); a rotation transmission mechanism (51) for transmitting the rotational force of the motor (31) to a front end tool; an impact transmission mechanism (41) for converting the rotational force of the motor (31) into impact force and transmitting the impact force to the front end tool; and a mode selection dial (61) serving as a mode selection mechanism for switching the rotation transmission mechanism (51) to a rotation transmission state and to a transmission stopped state. When an adjustment mode is selected by the mode selection dial (61), the motor (31) is driven at an adjustment-mode speed lower than a normal-work-mode speed, thereby transmit the rotational force of the motor (31) to the front end tool. Thus, the orientation of the front end tool can be automatically adjusted by the motor (31). |
