In order to allow information relating to details of the scattering of x-ray partial beams (2) of an x-ray fan beam (1) to be obtained, in particular, in computer tomography methods and therefore ultimately to allow a lower radiation exposure for an examination object (12), the invention provides a method for coding fan angles (α) of the x-ray partial beams (2) of the x-ray fan beam (1) into the x-ray partial beams (2), wherein an amplitude of the particular x-ray partial beam (2) is modulated with a frequency (fi) which is a function of the fan angle (α), wherein frequencies (fi, fj) for the amplitude modulation define vectors which are orthogonal with respect to one another for a stipulated measurement period (T). |
