1. A system for laser ophthalmic surgery on an eye of a patient, comprising:
a single laser source, under the operative control of a controller, configured to alternatively deliver a first treatment laser beam and a second treatment laser beam, each treatment laser beam comprising a plurality of laser pulses, the first treatment laser beam having a pulse energy of about 10 to 500 μJ and the second pulsed laser beam having a second pulse energy of about 0.1 to 10 μJ and lower than the first treatment laser beam; and an optical system operatively coupled to the laser source by the controller and configured to focus the first treatment laser beam to a first focal spot and direct the first focal spot in a first treatment pattern into one or more intraocular targets, including a first intraocular target, the optical system being further configured to focus the second treatment laser beam to a second focal spot and direct the second focal spot in a second treatment pattern into the one or more intraocular targets, including a second intraocular target, wherein the first intraocular target is different than the second intraocular target. |
