The present disclosure relates to an alarm method and apparatus, which belong to the field of mobile communications. The method comprises: receiving a triggering instruction on a verification interface; judging whether the triggering instruction is a pre-set alarm instruction, wherein the pre-set alarm instruction corresponds to at least one contact; when the triggering instruction is the pre-set alarm instruction, entering an alarm state and sending alarm information to a terminal of the contact corresponding to the pre-set alarm instruction, wherein the alarm information is used to indicate that a user is in a state of danger. By sending alarm information to a terminal of a contact corresponding to a pre-set alarm instruction when a triggering instruction is the pre-set alarm instruction, the present invention solves the problem in the relevant art that the alarm process is complex and realizes the beneficial effect of simplifying the alarm process.
