The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a functional film which includes an optical functional layer that exhibits an optical function and in which the optical functional layer can be inhibited from deteriorating; and a process for producing the functional film. The problem is solved with: a functional film which comprises an optical functional layer, a resin layer with which the edge surfaces of the optical functional layer have been surrounded, and gas-barrier supports between which these layers have been sandwiched, the resin layer having an oxygen permeability of 10 cc/(m2·day·atm) or less and the difference in thickness between the optical functional layer and the resin layer being within 30%; and a production process comprising a step in which a frame-shaped resin layer is formed on a surface of a first gas-barrier support, a step in which a polymerizable composition that becomes an optical functional layer is packed inside the frame, a step in which a second gas-barrier support is superposed on the resin layer, and a step in which the polymerizable composition is cured. |
