METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A MAGNETIC STIMULATION DEVICE

Methods of calculating and/or suggesting the maximal value of stimulation parameter are based on the safety concept of a magnetic stimulation device for treatment of a biological structure by a high power time-varying magnetic field. The safety concept protects the patient. The methods may be used e.g. in physiotherapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry or aesthetic medicine applications.

1. A method of controlling a magnetic stimulation device for treating a biological structure by time-varying magnetic field including:
determining at least one value of operation parameter in at least one value of a characteristic quantity, wherein the value of operation parameter is related with at least one of:
a) a calibration curve,b) a calibration value,c) at least one value of the same operation parameter in the different value of the same characteristic quantity, wherein the calibration curve and/or the calibration value may be determined in the same value or in the different value of the same characteristic quantity.
