A device for detecting estrus in livestock, said device being provided with an adhesive layer that is to be adhered to the rump of a livestock animal, an indicator layer that is provided with an indication surface and formed on the adhesive layer, and a release coat layer that is coated in such a manner as to cover the indicator layer and, upon friction, released from the indicator layer so as to expose the indicator layer, wherein: a plurality of marks are printed on the indicator layer to enable digital recognition of the extent of release of the release coat layer from the outside; and the marks, whereby the extent of release of the release coat layer can be recognized, are printed in any of the following forms where the printing density differs between a center part of the indicator layer and the right and left ends thereof, the printed marks have different shapes, the printed marks have different areas, or the marks are printed as bar codes with different numbers, so that the estrus stage of the animal can be accurately detected by reading out the marks. |
