Provided is a real-time-measurement projection device that can measure the distance to a changing target in real-time and in particular can suitably perform projection mapping with respect to a changing target. The real-time-measurement projection device is provided with: a pattern light projection device that irradiates a projection target with pattern light including a pattern image; an image capturing device that electronically acquires a captured image of the projection target, which has been irradiated with the pattern light, with a prescribed exposure time for each pixel; and an arithmetic device that calculates the distance to individual points of the projection target by comparing the captured image with data of the pattern image. The image capturing device temporally shifts the start and end times of the prescribed exposure time for each pixel.
