There are provided a timing controller of operating selective sensing and an organic light emitting display device comprising the same, the timing controller being configured to selectively perform a sensing when a display panel operates in an ON state. The timing controller performs a sensing to the display panel on the basis of a temperature of the display panel, a time difference in operation of the display panel, and a degree of need for sensing of representative sub-pixels.

1. An organic light emitting display device comprising:
a display panel in which a plurality of sub-pixels is disposed; a gate driver configured to apply a signal to a gate line in the display panel; a data driver configured to apply a signal to a data line in the display panel; and a timing controller configured to control the gate driver and the data driver by calculating any one or more of a temperature of the display panel, an OFF-ON time difference of the display panel, and a degree of need for sensing of the sub-pixels and determining whether or not to perform a sensing to the display panel when the display panel is changed from an OFF state to an ON state.
