The present invention provides a method and system for updating a Mobility Management Entity (MME) pool, an evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) gateway and an MME node, and belongs to the field of communications. An evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service gateway receives reported messages of service area of mobility management entity nodes, and the reported messages of service area include the service area information managed by the mobility management entity nodes; the evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service gateway updates the pool of mobility management entity according to the reported messages of service area. |
