A fingerprint identification-based terminal control method and device, the terminal comprising at least one fingerprint identification module, and the terminal control method comprising: upon detecting a user triggering any one fingerprint identification module of at least one of fingerprint identification modules, acquiring user current fingerprint information (102); searching, according to the current fingerprint information, for a function operation associated with the current fingerprint information in pre-stored association relations between fingerprint information and function operations of the corresponding any one fingerprint identification module (104); and upon finding a function operation associated with the current fingerprint information, executing the associated function operation (106). The above method and device enables control of a terminal so as to quickly realize a function operation associated with acquired fingerprint information, improving user experience. Further, the invention expands the number of function operations that can be initiated by fingerprint identification and improves terminal data security in the process of using the terminal. |
