The present invention relates to a method and device (100) for clamping a dough piece, in particular a baguette (23), during a cutting operation, comprising a first and a second clamping part (1,2), extending essentially parallel to each other, defining a space (3) for the dough piece in between them; and movable with respect to each other for adjusting the width of the space (3) to fit a dough piece; at least one pair of apertures (8-14,8'-14'), in the first and the second clamping part (1,2) respectively, for enabling cutting means (22) to cut a dough piece in the clamp at least partially; and actuation means, for moving the clamping parts (1,2) towards and/or from each other. |
