[Class 20 (iii)] A vehicle-window regulator comprises a crank-arm 23 driven by a handle and gears 32, 33, a link 19 connecting the arm and a slotted retainer plate 15 on the window, and a fixed cam-track 40 co-operating with a stud 41 on the link 19 adapted to maintain a constant angle between the link and crank-arm during a portion of the movement. When engaged with the cam the link 19 rests on oppositely bent projections 28 of the crank as shown in Fig. 4. When free of the cam during the opening movement of the window, the link 19 pivots on the crank and this movement is limited by a projection 30 on the crank. The crank pivots on a out away centring plate 38 riveted to the mounting 42, flange 37 and cam plate 39. A self-sustaining clutch 34, Fig. 7, and a spring-pressed washer 20 on the lifting stud 18, Fig. 10, are provided. |
