An object of the present invention to provide a rolling bearing device 11 which allows checking if its oil supply unit is functioning properly, under an assembled state without any need for disassembly or communication lines extended to the outside. A rolling bearing device is provided as a combination of a rolling bearing 11 and an oil supply unit 13 which includes at least: a lubrication oil tank 46, a pump 45 which sucks lubrication oil from the lubrication oil tank 46 and discharges the lubrication oil from a discharge port; a driving section 44 which drives the pump 45; and a generator section 41 which supplies the driving section 44 with electric energy. The oil supply unit 13 is attached to a fixed-ring-side member 12b of the rolling bearing 11 or a spacer 16 adjacent to the rolling bearing. The oil supply unit 23 further includes, within itself, a communication unit 49 which transmits operation information of the oil supply unit 23 to an outside. |
