The hitch has a coupling unit (K) comprising a bearing part (10) at which a pivot part (14) is supported. A mechanical fixing device fixes a ball neck (16) in a working position with respect to the bearing part. The fixing device is stressed by a power accumulator towards a position in which the ball neck is fixed. The fixing device is actuatable by an electrically operated movable drive such that the ball neck is freely moved from the working position. The drive acts on the fixing device in terms of suspension of force action of the power accumulator.
