There is described a process for the extraction of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starting from urine of pregnant women, or crude fraction thereof, comprising steps of ion exchange chromatography (particle size 50-500 µm), dye affinity chromatography, ultra/nanofiltration. The process allows the high-yield extraction of hCG having high activity; unlike known processes, it reduces/eliminates the preliminary steps of urine purification preceding chromatography, with no impact on the final product quality. |
