A banner assembly is disclosed for single handed use comprising an elongate body 2 attachable to a wearable member 3 and a banner 6. One end of the banner is retained within the elongate body and the banner is extendable between a first configuration where it is disposed within the elongate body and a second configuration in which it extends from the elongate body. This enables the banner to be brought to an event, e.g. a sporting event, in the stored state and then extended to display text and/or an image. The wearable element may comprise a sleeve and glove (Fig. 9). The banner may be stored rolled around a rotatable axle within the elongate body and may be multi-layered and may comprise a holographic layer. Illumination means may be provided. |
