摘要 [Abstract] A control apparatus for a continuously variable transmission (1) that includes a belt-type continuously variable transmission mechanism (40) and friction engagement elements (32), (33) is disclosed. The control apparatus includes: operation position detection means (65) for detecting an operation position of a selection lever (50); selection control means (60b) for executing a selection control for engaging the friction engagement elements (32), (33) from a time point at which a switching from a non-travel range to a travel range is detected; determination means (60a) for determining engagement states of the friction engagement elements (32), (33); and pulley pressure control means (60c) for controlling a pulley pressure supplied to two pulleys (41), (42). The pulley pressure control means (60c) increases the pulley pressure in a case where it is determined that the friction engagement elements (32), (33) are released at a time point at which a predetermined time (T1) elapses from a start of the selection control and, thereafter, lowers the pulley pressure in a case where it is determined that the friction engagement elements (32), (33) are engaged. Thus, a belt slippage during an engagement of clutches is suppressed while a load on an oil pump is reduced.
