[Class 38 (ii)] Tight coupling between the primary and secondary windings of transformers of a ratio not less than 2 to 1 is obtained by winding a cable comprising at least three insulated conductors on a core or former and connecting in series some of the conductors to form the winding having the greater number of turns. Where the ratio is to be non-integral one or more of the conductors connected in series are shortened so as to be absent from one turn of the cable.
