[Class 98 (i)] In cameras in which an exposure meter is mounted in the camera outside the field of a lens m position for photographic use, the lens is secured to a support pivotally or slidably mounted on the camera so as to be movable either into position for use with the testing means or into position for photographic use. The exposure meter preferably comprises a photo-electric cell connected to an indicator and the lens is mounted with an associated diaphragm so that the diaphragm is in front of the cell when in test position. A lens turret with two or more lenses rotatably mounted on the camera may be used. In the form shown, three lenses 3, 4, 5, Fig. 2, are carried on a rotatable disc 2 and may be moved from photographing position, to a position in front of the cell 7 connected to a moving coil measuring instrument 9, 10 having a pointer 11 visible in a window 19 in the rear of the camera. A drum 13, Fig. 3, carries a series of scales of camera speeds 12 associated with emulsion speeds 18 so that the appropriate camera speed for a given emulsion speed may be determined by rotating the drum. The scales may be fixed and a movable mask provided in the window 19. The lens or lenses may also be mounted on slides on the camera front. |
